These properties of the material make them important as technologically important candidates in dferent applications. The most important applications involve tackling of environmental as well as health issues. Nanotechnology is being used in several applications to improve the environment. This includes cleaning up pollution in water, soil and air, synthesis and application as technologically important materials, industry effluent treatment, health, Biotechnology and medicines.These products, processes and applications are expected to contribute signicantly to environmental and climate protection by saving raw materials, energy and water as well as by reducing greenhouse gases and hazardous wastes. Nanomaterials promise environmental benefits and sustainability effects. Aims and Objectives This International Conference aims at deliberations on research activities pursued by researchers in India, abroad and Goa on nano materials and its environmental applications. There will be some presentations from local CSIR institutes working in these areas.The speakers will be Professor from Nanomaterial research Centre, Meijo University Japan as well as some speakers may be invited from USA. The invited speakers within country will be from Indian institutes of repute. The participants will include students and faculty from undergraduate, masters and Ph.D. program from Chemistry, Physics and Biotechnology departments. There will be researchers from CSIR institutes and local environmental entrepreneurs as well. The interaction of participants with researchers of international repute will help in strengthening their research arena and collaborations.
