Presently, due to cumulative effect of innovations in various branches of Science/ Technology/ Engineering, changes or developments in any specific branch have been taking place at a very faster rate, where Textile may not be an exception. Like other products/processes, innovations in textiles are also done keeping in view the better quality, higher production, cost reduction, automation etc. in order to provide better life style to the people. Till date, the linkage between the institutes regarding research and development for the innovation of newer product and process is poor. Hence, the natures of innovations carried out in various academic and research Institutes as well as industries are discrete.
