Due to the pandemic impact, ICAFM 2020 that was originally planned to be held in Hawaii, United States has been held in conjunction with ICACM 2020 via online platform during August 26-28, 2020 successfully. In past four years, ICAFM has been successfully held in different regions (Anchorage, Alaska; Los Angeles; San Francisco & Salt Lake City) of the United States. ICAFM had strong academic atmosphere all the way and participants were active. 

 

Now, on behalf of ICAFM 2021 conference committee, I'm glad to announce that 2021 The 6th International Conference on Advanced Functional Materials (ICAFM 2021) will be held in Hosei University, Tokyo, Japan during August 25-27, 2021.

 

ICAFM 2021 aimed at promoting research worldwide  and publishes basic and advanced research work from all branches of Physics, Applied Surface Sciences, Crystal growth, High energy density physics, Materials Chemistry and Physics with its functions, Solid state sciences, Solid state electronics, Solid state communications, Non linear Physics, Surface coatings & technology, Progress in Surface Sciences,  Solar cells applications, Sensors applications, Thin solid films, Thin film applications, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Nanoscience, Nanotechnology, Material Science and all general sciences by IBU Impressions.

 

And it aims at being an ideal platform for scholars to share views and experiences in Advanced Functional Materials and related areas. 

 

We welcomes you submit your paper/abstract to our ICAFM 2021 and present it. Hope all of you can communicate thoughts face to face and have a good harvest during the conference. We look forward to meeting all of you face-to-face next year in Tokyo, Japan!

 

**Publication**

The accepted papers with registration and presentation will be published into 【Materials Science Forum (ISSN print 0255-5476 / ISSN web 1662-9752)】, which will be indexed by 【Ei Compendex, SCOPUS】, etc.

***Keynote Speakers***

~ Prof. Zheng-Hong Lu, University of Toronto, Canada (Fellow of CAE, FAAAS)

   Dr. Zheng-Hong Lu is a full professor and a Tier I Canada Research Chair in Organic Optoelectronics at the University of Toronto.

   His group’s research includes OLED materials and device engineering for flat-panel display and solid-state lighting applications. 

~ Prof. Hao Gong, National University of Singapore, Singapore

   Dr. Hao GONG is a Full Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at National University of Singapore. He is also the coordinator of the transmission electron microscopy laboratory at Department of Materials Science and Engineering. 

   His research interests include transparent oxide conductors and semiconductors (n-type and p-type), energy storage materials and devices (mainly supercapacitors), energy harvest materials and devices (mainly solar cells), gas sensors, functional thin film and nano-materials, materials characterization (mainly on transmission electron microscopy and electron diffraction).

~ Prof. Ju Chou, Florida Gulf Coast University, USA

   Dr. Ju Chou is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Physics at Florida Gulf Coast University. 

   Dr. Chou’s research areas include bio-electrochemistry of proteins such as cytochrome c, myoglobin and hemoglobin, bioaccumulation of trace elements in tissues, synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials such as gold nanoparticles and their biomedical applications.

   Dr. Chou’s recent research interests also include green synthesis of gold nanoparticles and environmental analysis of toxic metals in water, soil and human hair. 

~ Prof. Qingsong Yu, University of Missouri, USA

   Dr. Qingsong Yu is a Full Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at University of Missouri in the United States.

   Dr. Yu’s research has been focusing on non-thermal gas plasma technology and its applications in materials processing, surface modification, thin film deposition, and recently in plasma medicine and plasma dentistry.
